Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Diagnostic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and prepare high-quality images for Radiologist interpretation in Fredericksburg, VA. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and education of students in the Radiologic Technology program.

Required ARRT certification or registry-eligibility, completion of a two-year radiologic tech program, VA licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible; must pass within one year of hire.
• Two-year accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years’ relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients by confirming orders, verifying identity, obtaining histories.
• Perform radiology procedures across all age groups with competency.
• Adhere to policies and standards for quality patient care.
• Maintain safety and radiologic imaging practices.
• Instruct and supervise students in clinical settings.
• Support Radiology cross-training and imaging program.
• Manage equipment inventories and record-keeping for billing.
