Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures per physician orders. You will produce high-quality images and provide the radiologist with appropriate comparison studies and data for timely interpretation.

The position requires ARRT certification or registry-eligibility, completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology program, VA State license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology and must pass if eligible.
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations by verifying orders and patient identity.
• Performs radiology examinations across all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to policies and safety protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains competency in diagnostic imaging services and information systems.
• Monitors supplies and ensures uninterrupted services.
• Records patient and procedural data for accurate documentation and billing.
