Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA seeks a Diagnostic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. The position requires ARRT registration or registry-eligibility with certification within one year, a two-year radiologic technology program, VA license, and BLS for Healthcare

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible; must pass within one year of hire
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for all outpatient facilities
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Three years relevant experience preferred

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations by confirming physicians' orders, verifying identities, and obtaining medical histories.
• Performs radiology examinations/procedures on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to departmental policies and protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains a safe environment and follows radiation safety practices.
• Interacts with students providing supervision and instruction.
