Job summary

Qualifications

Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
ARRT registration or registry eligibility within 90 days of employment.
Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Verify physician order and procedure for accuracy.
Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
Independently operate imaging equipment per protocol and position patient as needed.
Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality.
Perform timely quality control procedures in line with regulatory standards.
Assist in departmental operations such as inventory, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
Adapt communication and procedure explanations to the patient population and privacy requirements.
Perform other related duties as required.
