Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a patient services teammate to support radiology services at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. This onsite weekend shift position requires excellent communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year experience in a customer service role.
• Compassionate, positive, and upbeat disposition in interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Basic computer and typing skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days

Responsibilities

• Confirms physician orders are complete with signature, ordered study, reason for test, and obtains missing information.
• Coordinates daily work duties and communicates necessary information.
• Documents LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, appropriate history and all other required documentation.
• Confirms levels of supplies and equipment to meet patient care requirements.
• Maintains accurate information in the database and performs clerical/computer tasks.
• Ensures safety and efficient movement of patients within and between departments.
• Ensures images have crossed into PACS before study completion.
• Performs registrations as required.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and keeps orderliness.
• Adheres to facility policies and supports quality patient care.
