Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a weekend shift at the Fogelsville Health Center. You will provide diagnostic radiographic imaging under physician direction, adhering to radiation safety standards while delivering high-quality patient care and service.

The role emphasizes accurate imaging, patient safety, and teamwork within the radiology department at LVHN, serving the Lehigh Valley region.

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma required.
• Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year completion of radiology program.
• Ability to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems.
• Understanding of safe use of radiation producing equipment.
• Knowledge of medical technology and terminology.
• BLS - PA within 30 days.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - PA on hire.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic quality radiographs.
• Ensures radiation protection per safety standards.
• Uses proper exposure factors, collimation, and distance with documentation.
• Maintains safety for self and others.
• Ensures correct exam and attaches to patient folder.
• Manages supplies and equipment.
• Documents LMP, fluoroscopy time, radiologist, CPT codes and diagnosis.
• Coordinates daily tasks and timing of exams.
• Confirms images cross into PACS before study completion.
• Reports equipment issues and coordinates repairs.
• Assists in training of staff and students.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in work area.
