Job summary

NOW-Health-Group,-Inc. in Bloomingdale, IL, is seeking a QC Physical Lab Tech I for the Weekend Daytime Shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) to support on-site manufacturing.

You will receive samples in the LIMS system, perform physical and organoleptic testing, and record results in worksheets, Excel, LIMS and Access. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years of lab experience, familiarity with general lab equipment, and the ability to work weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with general laboratory equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Receives and collects samples in the LIMS system.
• Performs physical testing on raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, prepackaged items, stability samples and other laboratory samples.
• Performs organoleptic testing, including appearance, taste and odor.
• Records and compares results to specifications and performs secondary reviews.
• Initiates OOS investigations for samples not meeting specifications or atypical from historical trend.
• Operates lab equipment such as pH meter, FTIR, NIR, disintegration apparatus, moisture analyzer, tablet tester, density meters, titrator, ovens, viscometer, balance, etc.
• Accurately enters laboratory test results into worksheets, Excel, LIMS and Access databases.
• Requests samples through Smartsheet as needed.
• Maintains daily logs and equipment logbooks.
• Cleans, maintains and calibrates laboratory equipment.
• Orders lab supplies as needed.
• Complies with safety and GMP requirements.
