Job summary

NOW Foods in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking an MQ Inspector I for the weekend and evening shift (Fri-Sun, 12 hours) to support incoming inspection and production quality activities.

You will evaluate raw materials, review COA/COC, perform in-process checks, and help maintain GMP compliance while documenting results and communicating issues to supervisors.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, up to two years in inspection, basic computer skills, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret product specifications, departmental instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine emails to communicate within QC and with operations personnel.
• Familiarity with general inspection procedures and basic computer skills.
• Experience in quality department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs raw material evaluation on incoming shipments and obtains representative samples.
• Completes necessary documentation and Oracle entries.
• Reviews COC/COA of incoming material and/or packaging components as needed.
• Reviews documentation for completeness and compliance with GMPs and SOPs.
• Performs random in-process testing to verify operator’s results.
• Releases materials for use and reviews documentation for completeness.
• Communicates problems/out-of-specification issues to supervisor/lead and operations personnel.
