Job summary

NOW Foods in Bloomingdale, IL is hiring a QC Physical Lab Tech I for weekend daytime shifts. You will perform physical testing, enter results into LIMS/Excel, and support GMP-compliant quality control in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include sample handling, equipment calibration, data entry, and collaboration with QA/Operations to ensure product quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with general laboratory equipment and SOPs.
• Ability to perform physical and organoleptic testing and record results.

Responsibilities

• Receives and collects samples in the LIMS system.
• Performs physical testing on raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, prepackaged items, stability samples and other laboratory samples.
• Records and compares results to specifications and performs secondary reviews.
• Initiates OOS investigations for samples not meeting specification or atypical from historical trend.
• Accurately enters laboratory test results into worksheets, Excel spreadsheets, LIMS and Access database.
• Maintains daily logs and equipment logbooks and calibrates equipment as needed.
