Job Description

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a QC Lab Technician to work near Bedford Park, IL. This is a temp‑to‑hire position with a 4‑day week on the 3rd shift (6 pm–4 am) at $25.50 per hour.

Primary function: Support the laboratories by performing analytical tests independently and accurately, meeting the needs of internal and external customers in a safe and timely manner on process and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tests independently and accurately as written in test procedures.
• Perform a variety of tasks/procedures in a fast‑paced environment; maintain accurate and complete records of data.
• Prioritize testing based on business needs and ensure testing is performed appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Collect samples of finished products.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and legible test records in accordance with company policy.
• Follow all safety guidelines and quality systems established.
• Develop a working knowledge of product and customer specifications.
• Disposition product against established specifications.
• Perform other work as assigned by laboratory management.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment, including routine maintenance and resolution of common or simple problems with instruments.
• Communicate technical data to technical and non‑technical people, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related sciences.
• Experience with HPLC, GC, LC preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory practices.
• Ability to cover shifts as needed, including weekends and after‑hours.
