Job summary

Balchem Corporation in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Weekend Manufacturing Supervisor to lead Production and Packaging on weekend shifts, coordinating people, equipment, and materials to ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality output from raw materials to finished product.

This role requires supervising operators, maintaining shift handoffs, enforcing GMP, HACCP and safety standards, and partnering with HR and management to resolve issues while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience leading both production and packaging operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment, preferably in food, cereal, ingredient, or other regulated manufacturing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work weekend-focused schedule required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, coach, and monitor employees assigned to Production and Packaging during the weekend schedule.
• Provide clear direction at shift start; maintain active floor presence; address performance, attendance, conduct, communication, and conflict concerns promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate and oversee continual operation of production and packaging processes.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and safe work practices.
• Communicate schedule deviations, downtime, staffing concerns, quality issues, and other risks to the appropriate manager.
