Job summary

Requirements include 5+ years leading teams in heavy industry, familiarity with blueprints for transmission poles, and the ability to manage multiple supervisors and weekend shifts. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple supervisors.
• Experience in metal fabrication or welding preferred.
• Knowledge of blueprints and layouts for transmission poles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lead multiple supervisors to goals.
• Professionalism, dependability and teamwork.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations for heavy industrial products.
• Lead and coach multiple supervisors to achieve daily goals.
• Set nightly production schedules based on demand, equipment, materials and staffing.
• Communicate daily with staff to ensure safety, quality and on-time deliveries.
• Address obstacles to meet safety, production, efficiency and quality metrics.
• Cover supervisor absences and manage production bays.
• Handle personnel issues with HR and support resources.
• Maintain production costs within budgeted limits.
• Support continuous improvement in material flow through processes.
• Provide annual performance reviews for each supervisor.
• Ensure 30, 60, 90-day reviews for new hires are completed.
