Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is hiring a Materials Manager for our Gadsden, AL plant. You will lead planning, scheduling, purchasing, and receiving to execute the materials plan and support production goals.

In this role you will manage a team, develop supplier relationships, and ensure accurate inventory control, cycle counts, and timely material disposition. APICS certification is a plus and strong leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, drawings or technical material.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail; highly organized and process driven.
• APICS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule to meet production/customer demand.
• Fulfill, monitor and set safety stock levels to meet delivery targets and inventory reduction goals.
• Oversee procurement activities to fulfill production demand.
• Coordinate inbound logistics and cost-saving efforts.
• Direct receiving, put-away, and material handling processes.
• Directly supervise raw materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, and receiving functions.
