Valmont is hiring a Material Handler in El Dorado, KS. You will handle materials to maintain smooth flow through production, including receiving, issuing, and moving items. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Production Supervisor, with shift hours 5:00 am to 5:30 pm on Fridays through Sundays.

You are paid for 40 hours though you work 36. Starting wage is $22.68 per hour. Requirements include forklift operation experience and the ability to obtain certification, basic math,

Qualifications

• One year of forklift/heavy equipment experience.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare poles in loads for shipping.
• Unload materials upon arrival to the facility.
• Maintain documentation of materials received and shipped.
• Inspect each load for safety and quality.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the yard area.
• Operate lift equipment safely and in line with policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
