Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Weekend Shift Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations on weekend schedules. You will lead a production team, ensure schedules, quality, and safety compliance, and drive continuous improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration with maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet production targets. This position is based at our Virginia facility and may require Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday shifts with overtime

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years in production, with 1-2 years in supervision
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure
Proficiency in using production management software and MS Office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all staff levels
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Weekend shift availability (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon) and overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate production workers during weekend shifts while following schedules and quality standards.
Monitor output, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions for deviations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and QC procedures.
Train and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment.
Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and conflicts promptly.
Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics to optimize flow.
Prepare and submit accurate production reports and shift metrics.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve quality.
Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory on the line during weekends.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
