Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Weekend Shift Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations on weekend schedules. You will lead a production team, ensure schedules, quality, and safety compliance, and drive continuous improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration with maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet production targets. This position is based at our Virginia facility and may require Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday shifts with overtime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years in production, with 1-2 years in supervision
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure
• Proficiency in using production management software and MS Office
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all staff levels
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Weekend shift availability (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon) and overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production workers during weekend shifts while following schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor output, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions for deviations.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Flexibility to work weekend shifts (e.g., Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday) and occasional overtime as needed.
