Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our Skilled Nursing team in Tennessee. The candidate should hold an active RRT or CRT license in the state and a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy.

Independent assessment and treatment with minimal supervision is required, with passion for geriatric care. The RT will perform bedside treatments, initiate therapies, document diligently, attend IDT meetings, and support a range of respiratory interventions including

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Performs tracking, auditing and caseload management.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.
