Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for a Skilled Nursing facility in Tennessee. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, manage therapies, and maintain thorough documentation.

The ideal candidate has a COARC-accredited degree, holds RRT or CRT, and is licensed in the practice state with BLS. Prior LTC exposure and tracheostomy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice and BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and complete quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings; follow facility protocols.
• Track, audit, and manage caseload; perform related duties as required.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
