Job summary

Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) PRN to cover weekend staffing. The PT will assess patients needing rehabilitation and develop treatment plans under physician direction, while documenting progress and educating families.

Supervising PTAs and collaborating with other disciplines are key aspects of the role. Requirements include graduation from an accredited PT program, active license/registration, and experience in long-term/geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, recertification and discharge documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services.
• Provide direct patient care and determine goals based on capacity and tolerance.
• Establish and administer a treatment program under physician direction.
• Document patient condition and educate patients and families in physical therapy methods.
• Oversee and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and collaborate with disciplines to provide best patient-centered care.
