Job summary

Methodist Senior Services, Inc. is seeking a PRN Weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team at Dugan in West Point, MS.

The OT will evaluate residents, develop individualized plans, and provide skilled services to maintain or regain independence. You’ll work with an experienced rehab team in a faith-based, non-profit setting, collaborating with facility staff to support daily living activities and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and Mississippi license.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adequate computer skills to complete required job duties and documentation.
• Ability to assess patient needs and develop a comprehensive plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating residents and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Providing skilled OT services per physician orders and plans of care.
• Addressing functional limitations related to ADLs, mobility and independence.
• Monitoring progress and documenting services per standards.
• Collaborating with residents, families, nursing staff and the care team.
• Supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants as appropriate.
• Promoting safety, independence and residents' quality of life.
