Job summary

Marvin is hiring a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production equipment. You will work on Allen Bradley PLCs, maintain programs, and document repairs using the EAM system.

The role includes a 6:00am–6:00pm Friday–Sunday shift with paid training and a sign-on bonus. Qualified candidates have 2 years in a similar role, an associate degree in a technical field, and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
• Proficiently use ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley RSLogix 500/5000.
• Work with the EAM system to document repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the plant.
• Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Document set-points and parameters for equipment concisely and accurately.
• Maintain backups of PLC programs and supervise new installations.
• Check newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under operating conditions.
• Set up servo controls and VFD operations and parameters.
• Troubleshoot servo motors, DC motors, and induction motors.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements.
