Job summary

Advocate Health in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a part-time weekend therapist to provide direct therapy services across care levels, including holidays. Evaluate patients and develop comprehensive care plans with modalities, exercises, and education.

You will document progress, coordinate with physicians and staff, and discharge planning while supervising PTA's, COTA's and Rehab Tech/Aide as needed. Requires relevant degrees and state licensure, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Applicable state license for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct therapy services to patients seven days a week, including holidays.
• Evaluates patients and develops care plans including modalities, exercise programs, and education.
• Gathers and interprets data from medical records, physicians, patients, and families for documentation.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance, education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges.
• Communicates evaluation and progress to physicians and staff; coordinates schedule and discharge planning.
• Provides supervision of PTA's, COTA's and Rehab Tech/Aide as required for licensure.
