Qualifications

• High school education preferred. Candidate must be 16 years or older.
• Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients between departments using stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Assists with patient transfers using equipment such as slide boards and gait belts.
• Monitors patient comfort and condition during transport and communicates with nursing staff.
• Transports lab specimens, x-ray reports, and equipment as needed.
• Discharges patients following proper procedures and ensures patient safety.
