Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Patient Service Representative to float between Garden City and East Islip locations on weekends. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and coordinate appointments in a fast-paced imaging center.

Responsibilities include directing patients, safeguarding PHI, and assisting back-office staff to ensure timely care. A High School Diploma or GED and strong communication skills are required; medical terminology knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Experience providing exceptional customer service.
• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures, and ensure documentation is complete.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees.
• Answer/transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
