Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support patient registration, check-in, and front-desk clinical tasks at our Minnesota sites. The role is part-time (0.3 FTE), requiring working every other Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, between Eagan and Burnsville locations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting payments and insurance info, scheduling, coordinating referrals, and assisting with switchesboard duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Customer Service experience required.
• Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID for incoming patients.
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices.
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the practice management systems.
• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including appointment details and directions.
• Chart preparation and management including outreach event preparation.
• Maintain knowledge of health plan requirements and networks.
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families, employers and clinic staff.
• Rotate Switchboard Operator duties: handling calls and coordinating interpreters and referrals.
• Other duties as assigned.
