Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking a Part-Time Patient Services Representative at our Brooklyn Park clinic to handle patient registration, check-in, and basic clinical support.

The role requires high school education, proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel, and customer service experience. The position is 0.26 FTE with evening shifts on Tuesdays and limited weekend coverage, offering an hourly wage range and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Customer Service experience required.
• Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-pays, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID for incoming patients.
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices.
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the practice management systems.
• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information and copayments.
• Chart preparation and management including preparing for outreach events.
• Maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks.
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families, employers and clinic staff.
• Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties which include: accepting, handling and transferring calls, coordination of interpreters for clinic appointments, and coordination of patient referrals.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.
