Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Eligibility Coordinator to work on weekends at one of our partner hospital facilities. You will guide uninsured or underinsured patients through Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA Marketplace enrollment with empathy and clear communication.

You will collaborate closely with hospital Patient Access and Case Management teams to ensure timely, coordinated care, and you will stay informed on evolving government programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in understanding and applying for appropriate healthcare coverage programs.
• Guide and support patients through enrollment for Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA Marketplace plans.
• Educate patients on options and eligibility based on program requirements.
• Collaborate with hospital Patient Access and Case Management teams for continuity of care.
• Stay informed of updates and changes in healthcare programs and policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow compliance protocols.
