Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Weekend Patient Care Tech to support nursing staff at our Huntley, IL location. This part-time role performs basic patient care tasks under RN supervision, including vital signs, daily living activities, and patient comfort.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR-BLS certification, and related CNA/CMA/EMT training or experience. Previous hospital experience is a plus, focusing on safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation, or CNA, CMA, or EMT.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Phlebotomy course.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN.
• Monitors vital signs and records intake/outtake.
• Assists with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Manages unit workflow with the charge RN as needed.
