Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Patient Access Services Representative for the SJ Admissions Desk to act as the first point of contact for patients, register patients, and prepare accounts for billing. This temporary, hourly role supports weekend coverage and ensures smooth patient flow within the admission process.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service experience, with preferred familiarity in hospital information systems or word processing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact for patients and verify information for registration.
• Facilitate accurate and timely completion of patient accounts for inpatient and outpatient billing.
• Assist in collecting copayments and deductibles and arrange payment plans or assistance programs.
