Job summary

IHA is seeking a Surgical Technician (OR Tech) to support the operating room team in Langhorne, PA. Under the supervision of an OR RN, you will maintain sterile technique, pass instruments, and assist with patient transfer and positioning during procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, vigilance for safety, and readiness to respond in emergencies while ensuring patient rights and comfort throughout the procedure.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalency required.
• Certified Surgical Technician certification required.
• 1-2 years of OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing nursing care in OR under RN supervision.
• Maintains sterile technique and aseptic field.
• Scrubs, handles, and passes instrumentation, anticipating surgeon needs.
• Assists in transfer and positioning of patients.
• Collaborates with circulating nurse in room prep and supplies.
• Maintains equipment and instrumentation in proper condition.
