Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Surgical Technician (OR Tech) for the Evening Shift.

The role supports the Operating Room team under the supervision of an RN, assisting with nursing care and instrument handling. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Surgical Technician with 1-2 years of experience, able to maintain sterile technique, scrub and pass instruments, position patients, and respond swiftly in emergencies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalency
• Certified Surgical Technician
• 1-2 years experience

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing nursing care to a designated population in collaboration with the health care team.
• Applies sterile technique (gowning, gloving, draping, etc.)
• Scrubs, handles, and passes instrumentation using aseptic technique
• Transfers and positions patients
• Collaborates with circulating nurse in room preparation
• Maintains sterile field
• Maintains equipment and instrumentation
• Responds to emergencies prioritizing patient needs
• Acts as patient advocate and protects rights
• Demonstrates proper use of sterilizers
