The position requires OR circulating experience, RN licensure, and BCLS certification, with on-site weekend coverage and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement in patient safety and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing is required.
• Previous OR circulating experience is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Perform surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and surgical technologists as part of the team.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment throughout shifts.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes and care provided.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
