Job summary

Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Operating Room RN for the weekend shift (Friday–Sunday) in Phoenix, AZ. The role offers an increased shift premium and requires OR experience. The hospital is Magnet-designated and highly regarded for nursing excellence.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care, coordinating with the health care team and providing high-quality patient care in the OR setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in the clinical area for which he/she is applying is desired.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting is required for Banner Registry and Travel assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate a plan of care, including discharge planning, with realistic goals.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination and supervision of staff.
