Job summary

Mountain Recreation in Edwards, CO is seeking a Supervisor on Duty to help run the Field House on weekends and select evenings. This part‑time, year‑round role oversees day‑to‑day operations, safety, and guest services while reporting to the Facility Coordinator.

The position requires at least one year of recreation facility supervision, a high school diploma, and the ability to lead staff and volunteers. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older; high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of work-related experience in recreation facility supervision.
• Bilingual preferred English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, including opening and closing procedures, supervising on-duty staff, and ensuring smooth execution of programs and positive customer experience.
• Provide high-level customer service, building rapport and maintaining professional relationships with patrons, teams, and visitors.
• Handle inquiries, bookings, and payments efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all facility programs, services, and offerings.
• Supervise patrons during facility programs to ensure safe use of facilities; maintain security and report incidents such as vandalism or theft.
• Respond to accidents or incidents according to established procedures, notifying supervisors and emergency services as needed, and maintain accurate records.
• Set up and break down equipment and facilities for programs and events.
• Communicate with participants, volunteers, coaches, and spectators regarding program information and behavioral expectations.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to facility staff and volunteers.
• Identify and report safety hazards related to equipment or the facility environment.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure adequate coverage for programs and events.
