Job summary

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 - Specialty - On Call for weekend coverage (Thursday-Sunday) to deliver patient-family centered care, supervise nurses and allied staff, and uphold evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service across departments.

In this role you will assess patients, adjust plans, review tests, consult with physicians, prepare patients for exams, provide compassionate support, administer medications, document care, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Valid State of Florida RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses assigned patients and evaluates plans with documentation of nursing care and vital signs.
• Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by responses and physician orders.
• Reviews and reports diagnostic tests to assess condition.
• Consults with physicians and healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate care.
• Prepares patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Considers patient age and culture in treatments and provides information on plans.
