Job summary

The University of Miami seeks a Registered Nurse 2 - Specialty - On Call to deliver patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, using evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service. The incumbent oversees nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.

The role requires a Florida RN license, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, with at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Florida RN license required with valid certification.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required/maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document nursing care; report changes in patient condition.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Consult with physicians to plan and evaluate patient care.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures.
• Provide compassionate, culturally competent care and discharge planning help.
• Safely administer medications and maintain accurate medication records.
• Preceptor to new staff and ensure compliance with policies.
