The University of Miami is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 - Specialty - On Call to deliver patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner using evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The incumbent oversees nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.

The role requires a Florida RN license, a Bachelor's degree, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or relevant field required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Valid State of Florida RN license required.

Responsabilités

• Assess assigned patients and document nursing care and vital signs.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by responses and physician orders.
• Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate care.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Adhere to patient age and culture considerations in treatment.
• Provide psychological support and nurture a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate records per regulations.
• Communicate plan of care to patient, family, and team, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist in discharge planning and safe equipment operation.
