Job summary

Baptist Health in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Weekend Program on the Short Stay Unit. This part-time role covers 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 25% weekend differential, supporting patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, turning and positioning every two hours, helping patients with hygiene, and documenting observations to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Six months of hospital or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs within established time frame.
• Perform hourly rounds to ensure patient safety.
• Turn and position patients every 2 hours.
• Assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Promote mobility and ambulation in chair or bed as ordered.
