Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit in Elizabethtown, KY. This part-time role covers 7p–7a and includes cross-training to also serve as a Unit Secretary.

Under RN supervision, you will support patient care, document vital signs, and help with activities of daily living to ensure safe, compassionate care. Preferred CNA certification and hospital/long-term care experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with age-appropriate patient care under RN supervision.
• Turn and position patients every 2 hours using proper body mechanics.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, and oral care.
• Monitor and document height, weight, and vital signs.
• Perform hourly rounds to promote safety and patient satisfaction.
