Job summary

Seacoast Rehab & Nursing Center in Gloucester, MA is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing staff on an every other weekend schedule. The role focuses on supervising nurses and CNAs, coordinating admissions and discharges, and maintaining high-quality patient care.

The position requires a valid MA RN/LPN license, CPR, and prior supervision experience. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of clinical nursing experience (1+ in long-term care) and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid unencumbered MA State License (LPN or RN) and CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience; minimum one year in long-term care preferred.
• Experience in supervision and teaching; computer skills required.
• Rehabilitative/restorative nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Manage staffing changes.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care.
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN or RN MA State License and current CPR certification

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university

• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting preferred. Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care

• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills
