Job summary

Dogwood Village of Orange County in Virginia seeks a Weekend Nursing Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and on-site nursing oversight during weekend shifts. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure resident-centered care, and maintain regulatory compliance while coordinating with DON and Administrator.

The role requires RN or LPN licensure in Virginia, at least two years in a skilled nursing setting, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN or LPN license in Virginia, or multistate privilege.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Previous charge nurse, nursing supervisor, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS long-term care requirements, resident rights, infection prevention, and nursing facility operations.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing services to ensure residents receive appropriate, timely, and individualized care.
• Conduct rounds to monitor resident conditions, care delivery, and staff performance.
• Respond to changes in resident condition with timely assessment, physician notification, intervention, and documentation.
• Oversee medication administration, infection prevention practices, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure appropriate follow-up on falls, injuries, transfers, and other significant clinical events.
• Coordinate with nursing, dietary, environmental services, maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational concerns.
