Job summary

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton seeks a part-time Critical Response RN to join its acute care team. The role leads rapid assessment of critically ill patients with early intervention to prevent deterioration, supporting bedside nursing and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications include two years in critical or progressive care, nursing licensure in Missouri, and required life-support certifications. Sign-on bonuses are available for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Two years of RN experience in critical care, emergency care or progressive care.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• Missouri RN license; BLS HCP; ALS; PALS certifications as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the first level of support for the bedside nursing team when patient conditions are questioned or jeopardized.
• Educates and supports the bedside team in evaluating and managing unstable patients.
• Guides the bedside team to help direct patient care and determine when to elevate a rapid response.
• Facilitates early transfer of patients to a higher level of care and monitors recent ICU transfers.
• Uses EMR and acuity scores to identify at-risk patients and drive process improvement.
