Job summary

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton is seeking a Regular part-time Night Shift RN to join the Critical Response team in the Nursing Admin department.

You will lead the initial assessment of critically ill patients and help implement early interventions to prevent deterioration and facilitate transfer to higher levels of care. Requirements include graduate of an accredited nursing program, RN license, BLS HCP, ALS/PALS, and at least two years of RN experience in critical or emergent care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or licensing equivalency.
• Two years RN experience in critical care, emergency care or progressive care.
• Current RN license in the applicable state(s) where work is performed.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the first level of support for bedside nursing when patient condition is in question or jeopardy.
• Educates and supports bedside team in evaluation and management of unstable patients.
• Guides the bedside team to help direct patient care.
• Assists in determining when to lift a rapid response.
• Facilitates early and rapid transition of patients to higher level of care.
• Monitors patients recently transferred from ICU.
• Uses EMR data to identify at-risk patients and drive improvement.
• Contributes to rapid response and code debrief processes.
