Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a part-time Security Guard (Class D License) to protect patients, staff and visitors. The role requires weekend night shifts from 7pm to 7am and the ability to handle stressful situations in a hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of security experience in an acute care environment, and must complete IAHSS, BLS, CPI within 90 days of hire, and hold a Class D Security License.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations.
• 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.

Responsibilities

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
