Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of security experience in acute care, and required certifications within 90 days of hire, including IAHSS training, BLS, CPI, and a Class D license.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
