Job summary

Catholic Health’s Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is seeking a weekend-only Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care. This role runs Saturday and Sunday with shift timing from 6:45pm to 7:00am, and involves coordinating patient care, teaching patients and families, and collaborating with nursing and support teams to uphold clinical standards.

The graduate nurse will gain experience under supervision, with NY State RN licensure required and BLS validation required per AHA standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate nurse is a beginning practitioner gaining experience under supervision.
• New York RN license required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for the patient across shifts.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide patient and family education and engage in teaching.
• Lead and collaborate with ancillary and nursing teams to maintain professional standards.
