Job summary

Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is seeking a Graduate Registered Nurse to provide weekend nursing care and leadership. You will assess patient needs, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes while collaborating with the nursing team.

You will participate in patient and family education, maintain confidentiality, and supervise a small staff, all under NYS RN licensure and AHA BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate nurse working under RN supervision.
• Must obtain NY State RN license before or soon after hire.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required per AHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates total nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating.
• Participates in patient and family teaching and supports a collaborative team.
• Directs a small group of staff,Assigns tasks and monitors performance.
• Adheres to hospital policies and manages resources efficiently.
