Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown). This weekend nights, full-time 36 hr/week position offers a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and weekend differential.

The RN will perform nursing care using the nursing process, participate in a 11-week Transition to Practice and a 6-month residency for new grads, and work with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• RN license (Required); BLS within 90 days of hire.
• BSN or MSN (Preferred).
• New Grads welcome; 11-week Transition to Practice program and 6-month residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Monitor IMC patients with telemetry, ventilator care and other advanced nursing interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with care teams and educate patients and families; document care and outcomes.
