Job summary

Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Step-Down Unit at Sentara Norfolk General in Norfolk, VA. The role features a weekend night schedule (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon), with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and relocation packages available.

The unit cares for cardiac, renal, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, and wound care patients. The RN will perform nursing care per the nursing process, with requirements including Virginia RN license and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• RN degree and Virginia RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and health teaching.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation in EPIC.
