Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) 4 East. Full-time, 36 hours/week, day or night shifts. Eligible for up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

New grads are welcome to apply. Requires RN license and BLS within 90 days of hire; BSN preferred. The IMC unit provides continuous monitoring and advanced nursing care for patients requiring more than general medical/surgical care.

Qualifications

• Registered nursing license required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Manage IMC/stepdown patients with telemetry monitoring, vent management and post‑op care as applicable.
• Coordinate care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the health team.
